Boxpark, Liverpool
Na het grote succes van zijn drie locaties in Londen, breidt Boxpark uit buiten de hoofdstad met een nieuwe vestiging die sinds 19 april haar deuren heeft geopend in Liverpool. Gelegen in de levendige buurt Baltic Triangle, in het hart van Liverpool’s creatieve en culturele scene, belooft Boxpark een gevarieerde selectie van wereldse street food. Naast zijn heerlijke culinaire aanbod zal deze innovatieve locatie dienen als een entertainment hub voor live muziek, al fresco dining, en intieme bijeenkomsten. Cambridge Street Collective, Sheffield
In mei opent de Cambridge Street Collective zijn deuren, met een gloednieuwe, vooruitstrevende foodhal midden in het hart van Sheffield. Deze nieuwe sociale hub zal een van de grootste in Europa zijn. Verdeeld over drie verdiepingen bieden de keukens cultureel diverse menu’s - met het beste van de Aziatische keuken en een mix van opwindende street food gerechten. Guinness Microbrewery, London
Deze jaar staat een langverwachte nieuwe openingen in Londen op de agenda. Guinness zal naar verwachting een microbrouwerij lanceren, inclusief een openhaardkeuken en een dakterrasbar bij Old Brewer’s Yard, in het hart van Covent Garden. De brouwgeschiedenis van de locatie dateert al terug tot 1722, en de frisse renovatie zal het tot een centrum maken voor drinken, dineren en entertainment - allemaal binnen een indrukwekkende locatie van 4.600 vierkante meter. In de eclectische wijk Hackney Wick in Oost-Londen bevindt zich Silo, een zero-waste restaurant dat is ontworpen om duurzaamheid binnen de voedselindustrie te demonstreren. Zero waste wordt bereikt door middel van een pre-industrieel voedselsysteem waarbij herbruikbare materialen worden gebruikt gedurende het hele proces en waarbij afvalbakken volledig worden geëlimineerd.
