Counter Fraud policy statement
Intro
- The British Tourist Authority (BTA) is committed to meeting the standards set out in the Government Counter Fraud Functional Standard. This applies to all forms of fraud, bribery and corruption from both internal and external sources. The BTA is committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity and to implementing and enforcing effective systems to minimise risk.
- The BTA requires all staff, suppliers and any contracted individuals or entities, at all times, to act honestly and with integrity to safeguard the BTA’s reputation and resources for which we are responsible. This means ensuring that we are collectively aware of and have a zero-tolerance approach to fraud, bribery and corruption.
- The BTA has a counter fraud, bribery and corruption policy, an annual action plan and a strategy covering the period to 2027 which assesses the main risks and how the organisation will effectively deter and prevent fraud, bribery and corruption.
