Why should I target France?
According to figures from the International Passenger Survey by the ONS, in 2023 the French market ranked 2nd overall in terms of visits to the UK with 3.2 million visits, and 3rd in terms of value, contributing more than £1.6 billion to the UK visitor economy.
The first half of 2024 has been very promising, surpassing pre-covid numbers, with 1.92 million visits (+29% vs 2023 and +10% vs 2019) and almost 1 billon in spend (£965m exactly), which is +28% vs 2023 and +73% vs 2019 (in nominal terms, not adjusted for inflation).
France remains #1 market in Europe, and #2 globally in both volume and spend behind the US.
