Sarah Fowler

Sarah Fowler was appointed as a Board Member to the VisitEngland Advisory Board on 6 January 2020, for a five-year term until 5 January 2025.
Sarah is Chief Executive of WWT (Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust), a charity often referred to as the birthplace of modern conservation, working to create healthy wetlands where nature thrives and enriches lives. The charity boasts a global and UK reach that is grounded in science, engagement and local action.
Before this, Sarah was Chief Executive for the Peak District National Park Authority and worked hard for National Parks to be more diverse, in nature and in the people visiting them. She previously worked in the Environment Agency, Peterborough Environment City Trust, English Nature (Natural England’s predecessor) and at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, beginning her career at the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. Sarah has also managed major environmental and flooding incidents and worked locally, nationally and internationally, delivering and advocating for sustainable development.
She is a board member of Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Active Partners Trust. At home, she has helped run an organic farm and enjoys getting outdoors with family and friends.
