The Village at Beaverbrook, Surrey

The Village is a collection of 10 family-friendly woodland cottages on the Beaverbrook Estate, nestled in the heart of the Surrey Hills, just 20 miles (32km) from London. The spacious cottages, named after well-known 19th century writers, are reconstructions of the homes of former estate workers and feature 21 individual guest suites. Each comes with a buggy to access other parts of the estate, including Mrs Beeton’s Restaurant, which serves up a menu of classic British food. With a dedicated kids’ club, cinema, and plenty of on-site activities, The Village is an ideal destination for family getaways. More sophisticated luxury can be enjoyed at The House, Beaverbrook, an 18-room British country house hotel and spa. For summer 2024, the hotel is offering a special Hot Air Balloon Dining Experience, a visual and culinary feast including alfresco Japanese dining in the Italian Garden, surrounded by static hot air balloons which are illuminated at night.

Tynecastle Park Hotel, Edinburgh

Conveniently located next to Tynecastle Park, the home of Edinburgh’s Heart of Midlothian Football Club, and with easy access to the city centre, the Tynecastle Park Hotel provides a base for football fans and city explorers alike. The hotel offers 25 modern rooms, complete will all necessary amenities, while some are more spacious with numerous accessible features. The Skyline Restaurant celebrates Scotland’s best seasonal produce, while the club lounge provides a relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle of the stadium. Look out for the Matchday Experiences, including an overnight stay, match tickets and behind-the-scenes access to Tynecastle Park stadium, as well as other special deals.

Grand Hotel Bellevue, London

The Grand Hotel Bellevue is the first British property from French hospitality group Lignée Hotels. Set within a Victorian Townhouse, the 60-room hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from London Paddington station. The sophisticated interiors have been designed by Paris-based architect Fabrizio Casiraghi, contrasting colourful modern touches with the old-fashioned charm of lacquered dark wood and traditional decorations. Guests can choose between Cabin Rooms, inspired by boat cabins, and Classic Rooms with high ceilings and vintage-inspired furniture. Facilities include a 24-hour fitness studio and the stylish Pondicherry Bar, decorated with tailor-made tapestries to provide the luxury feel of a members’ club.

Tŷ Hotel Newport

Sustainability is top of the agenda at the newly opened Tŷ Hotel Newport, located a short drive from Newport city centre. Found close to Junction 24 of the M4 motorway, the hotel is also near the Celtic Manor Resort and ICC Wales events centre. With 146 bedrooms, the latest addition to The Celtic Collection is one of the few larger hotels in the UK to run on all-electric energy, including renewable electricity from solar panels mounted on its roof. The hotel’s Mediterranean-inspired Casa Restaurant offers popular dishes including Spanish paella and Greek souvlaki. In addition, guests have access to the on-site gym and bookable meeting rooms.

DeiRa Hotel & Apartments, Prestwick, Scotland

Located in Prestwick, a small town on the Ayrshire coast, DeiRa Hotel & Apartments opened in July, coinciding with the 152nd Open Championship at nearby Royal Troon Golf Club. The new boutique hotel comprises 10 guest rooms and 2 fully fitted apartments aimed at families and larger groups. Guests can take advantage of the hotel’s on-site restaurant and cocktail bar, Taj Bar & Kitchen, specialising in authentic Indian cuisine.
